CHEVROLET AND GMC ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS

Later model year (2016-2021) Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado model vehicles as well as GMC Yukon and Sierra model vehicles have several known engine problem.  The problems include, but are not limited to – excessive engine oil consumption; check engine lights continuously being illuminated; lack of engine power; engine misfire; engine is hard to start; engine stalls; engine has a ticking noise; engine runs rough; etc.

In addition, these vehicles have known transmission problems which include, but are not limited to – transmission clunks; transmission has a harsh shift; transmission slips; transmission shudders; vibration from transmission; drive-line clunks; etc.

General Motors LLC is aware of many of these engine and transmission problems and is unable to fix them. 

If you have a later model (2016-2021) Chevrolet or GMC model vehicle that has been subject to repeat repairs upon its engine, transmission or other problems, you may have a lemon and be entitled to compensation under the California Lemon Law.  Compensation may include a repurchase of the vehicle.
