The transmissions in the Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta model vehicles are defective. These transmissions contain a dual clutch system which exhibits various problems for owners of these vehicle. For example, these transmissions shutter, slip, appear to hunt for gears, fail to engage, fail to allow the vehicle to accelerate. Ford Motor Company is aware of the problems in these transmissions but is, for the most part, unable to fix them. Many customers who take their Ford Focus and/or Ford Fiesta vehicles in for service of the transmission for the above-complaints are told the transmission is operating normally and refuse to perform any repairs.
